President’s Distinguished for both Perth and Western Divisions

First Perth

Perth Division reached President’s Distinguished Division last Friday, June 20, 2008. At that point Gil Alexander was the only President’s Distinguished Governor in District 73. Congratulations, Gil.

Now Western

And now today, June 25, 2008, Western Division has reached President’s Distinguished. Congratulations President’s Distinguished Governor, Mark Richards.

Plus a triumph for District Governor Mike Helm

Yes, District 73 has reached Distinguished status and may be on the way to Select Distinguished. More of that next week.

That is fantastic news for the Perth and Western Division. To be both Presidents Distinguished Divisions again this year is a wonderful result.
A lot of the credit must go to our hard working Area Governors who have worked tirelessly over the year to achieve this result, and to the Club Officers of all the clubs in both Divisions who’s DCP plans have come to fruition.
    Well done everyone.
    Mark Richards,
    Western Division Governor.

What an outstanding reward and recognition for all of our Club members, Officers, Area Govenors and Division Governors. Toastmasters in WA has some exciting momentum, and it is a special feeling to be a part of that. I guess the challenge is out there, let’s see if we can get three President’s Distinguished Divisions in 2008-09.

As a newby to Toastmasters, I must admit to having to sruggle a little with the numerous (or so it seems to me) titles and stratas of office bearers within the organisation. That being said, I can only add my congratulations to everyone who has achieved any status for their efforts. In particular, Mark Richards. Mark seems to be totally dedicated to furthering the Toastmaster cause especially the Canning Vale Club, which supported by his equally enthusiastic Bride, they have and are going from strength to strength with. I have heard it said many times, “Behind every successful Man there is an equally successful Woman” Here is a case in point. Three cheers for the Richards family of Canning Vale!

    Cheers! Cheers! Cheers!
