Honour our new DTMs for this year.

Betty Hart DTM

We have one so far – Betty Hart DTM – and we know of two more coming soon.

Betty was Western Division Governor in 2005/06 and oversaw the splitting of the Western Australian Division into two – Perth Division and Western Division. When she took a job in Albany she promptly set about founding a club. Amity Toastmasters is currently the only new club in the District this year.

We have an eminent Keynote Speaker Eamonn Moran DTM

Eamonn Moran DTM

He was appointed as Queen’s Counsel in 1998 and in the Queen’s Birthday honours of 2005 was awarded a public service medal “for outstanding public service to legislative drafting and public law, and to the promotion of plain legal language”. He has been Chief Parliamentary Counsel for Victoria since 1999.

Eamonn joined Toastmasters in 1985 and as District Governor in 1992-93 led the District to Number 2 in the world. He achieved DTM status in 1995 and was District Parliamentarian for more than 10 years. He is still active in Toastmasters and is currently VPE for Kew Toastmasters in Melbourne.

I would like to see additionally added under the DTM Breakfast details such as… – “open to all Toastmasters” – “a great opportunity to network and check out all about the DTM Award”

I love the website – really good to navigate

I think it’s important to show that the breakfast is open to anyone – the ad in this month’s Southern Cross was a bit misleading (it had ‘WA TM’ in the title so I’m not sure many members from the other states would have looked at it….

I’ve taken note of the two replies about, and adjusted the entry accordingly.

    Are there any other suggestions?
