Distinguished Criteria

How to be Distinguished – Clubs, Areas and Divisions

This page sets out the requirements for Distinguished status.  It is based on criteria listed in the District Leadership Handbook.  In practice, TI (Toastmasters International) do not recognise any Clubs, Areas and Divisions as distinguished until the March 31 Renewals have been processed.  These are usually posted around March 21.  But if you are going to be successful then, you need to plan how you will achieve the criteria, and then set about doing it.  In particular, Area and Division Governors need a new club to be honoured with President’s Distinguished, the highest award.  Have a look the Community Clubs Check List.

You can view the results of the Distinguished Area and Division report for 2009/10. This will give you an idea of the reports in action.
